Our Environmentally Safe Dry Cleaning Process
Dry Cleaning – Wet Cleaning – Hand Cleaning
We have invested and focused our use of biodegradable detergents to give our clients an outstanding clothing care experience, performance and value. We are able to offer our clients eco friendly solutions for both dry cleaning and wet cleaning through the use of our specialized detergent from Kreussler and our customized equipment hand built in Italy and Japan. While dry cleaning is still favored as the best all around garment cleaning solution for sensitive fabrics we are able to offer wet cleaning as an alternative for wools and silk garments. If you would like to inquire about having your garments exclusively wet cleaned using the Kreussler Lanadol process please contact us.
About Kreussler: Established in 1912, Kreussler Inc. has been a pioneer in textile care for over a century. With a rich history and an eye on the future, we continue to bring innovation and sustainability to the forefront of the industry. Headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany, our Research and Development labs are dedicated to creating cutting-edge chemistry and eco-friendly solutions. Products like LANADOL wet cleaning and SYSTEMK4 dry cleaning are revolutionizing garment care. We are committed to delivering tailored solutions that minimize environmental impact while maximizing effectiveness.
When it comes to dry cleaned items we exclusively use Kreussler’s Solvon K4 solvent, known for its environmental benefits.
Here are some key environmental advantages of using Solvon K4:
- Biodegradability: Solvon K4 is a biodegradable solvent, meaning it can naturally break down into harmless substances over time. This reduces its environmental impact compared to traditional petroleum-based solvents.
- Low Toxicity: Solvon K4 has low toxicity levels, making it safer for both the environment and human health. It reduces the risk of air and water pollution associated with harsher cleaning chemicals.
- Reduced Emissions: The use of Solvon K4 in dry cleaning processes can lead to lower emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) compared to conventional solvents. This helps mitigate air pollution and its associated environmental impacts.
- Energy Efficiency: Solvon K4 can operate at lower temperatures than some other solvents, reducing energy consumption during the dry cleaning process. This contributes to overall energy efficiency and lowers the carbon footprint of dry cleaning operations.
- Overall, the use of Solvon K4 offers significant environmental benefits by promoting biodegradability, reducing toxicity and emissions, and improving energy efficiency.
Wet cleaning using the Kreussler Lanadol process offers several environmental benefits:
- Non-Toxic: Lanadol is a non-toxic cleaning agent, making it safer for both the environment and human health compared to traditional dry cleaning solvents. It reduces the risk of air and water pollution associated with harsh chemicals. –
- Biodegradability: Lanadol is biodegradable, meaning it can naturally break down into harmless substances over time. This reduces its environmental impact and supports sustainability efforts.
- Reduced Water Usage: Wet cleaning typically requires less water compared to traditional dry cleaning methods.
- Lanadol’s efficient cleaning properties allow for effective stain removal with minimal water consumption, conserving this valuable resource.
- Energy Efficiency: Wet cleaning processes, including Lanadol, often operate at lower temperatures than dry cleaning, reducing energy consumption. This contributes to lower carbon emissions and overall energy efficiency.
- No Hazardous Waste: Unlike some dry cleaning solvents that generate hazardous waste during disposal, Lanadol does not produce toxic by-products. This eliminates the need for special disposal procedures and reduces the environmental burden associated with waste management.
- Renewable Resources: Lanadol is formulated using renewable resources, further enhancing its sustainability profile. By relying on ingredients derived from renewable sources, the Lanadol process reduces reliance on fossil fuels and supports a more environmentally friendly approach to garment care.
